[TAKE NOTE] Eight hour power supply interruption scheduled for part of Welgelegen
The power supply interruption is scheduled for tomorrow.
POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality has announced that some business owners and residents in Welgelegen will experience a power supply interruption tomorrow.
According to a statement by Municipal Spokesperson, Thipa Selala, the interruption is necessary to replace a broken meter box and to repair faulty cables on the line supplying to areas along three streets.
“The affected areas are Genl Wynand Malan, Genl Cilliers and Piet Cronje Streets and the downtime is scheduled between 08:00 and 16:00,” Selala explained.
He said affected users are advised to treat the electrical wiring as live.
“Switch off all electrical appliances during the downtime to avoid injury and damage once supply is restored,” he added.
Selala urged residents to report electricity related challenges to the Polokwane Municipality’s electrical helpline at 015 023 5490 / 5705.
