God-fearing, More, is the proud owner of MoreBeauty

More caters for weddings, graduations and baby showers to kids face paintings as well as special effects makeup.

POLOKWANE – More Phoshoko’s love for the beauty industry began in 2009, when she entered the Mr and Miss Moutain-View pageant. More attended her matric farewell in 2012 where she offered her makeup services to her friends. The 26-year-old, who describes herself as a God-fearing woman, is the owner and founder of MoreBeauty.

“While I conducted my studies, my love for makeup grew and I sold lipsticks and other makeup products on the side. People began taking notice when I would create face-beats on myself and that is where the idea of making profit from my talent came from.”

More currently resides in Toronto, Mankweng and is also a digital creator who engages with trends on Instagram and learns from them. “I offer makeup tutorials to teach women, young and old, in Mankweng and Polokwane on how to do their own makeup,” she said.

More caters for weddings, graduations and baby showers to kids face paintings as well as special effects makeup. Applying lipstick is her favourite feature because it enhances one’s whole look by giving it a classy, elegant and sexy finish.

She told BONUS that she has been in the beauty industry since 2017, which is the year she worked on her first paying clients. “One of my favourite events with my work was a wedding in Moletjie, were I showcased my talent. The clients were satisfied and they recommended my work to their family and friends,” she said.

What she likes about being a makeup artist is meeting new people and enhancing their beauty. “It gives me so much joy when I get to see my beautiful clients shed tears of joy because of my talent, I love it so much. Apart from makeup, I also do hair, nails and lashes and can travel to the client when lockdown is over,” she said.

She concluded to say she is passionate when it comes to beauty. “I want my company to empower women and create jobs in the community. I want to train young up-and-coming makeup artists to stay focused and never give up. If God gives you a talent, cherish it and make the best out of it,” she concluded.
