Limpopo’s Covid-19 recovery at 86.8%

According to the latest statistics by the Health Department, the province recorded a further 423 cases in the last 24-hours.

LIMPOPO – According to the Limpopo Health Department’s Covid-19 statistics, as of 27 December, the cumulative number of positive cases stands at 22 311, with active cases at 2 382 and recoveries at 19 385.

Of the 423 new cases the majority were recorded in the Capricorn district (173), with Polokwane having recorded a total of 137 cases. Lepelle Nkumpi recorded 21 new cases, Blouberg (10) and Molemole (5).

A total of 122 new cases were reported in the Vhembe district; ; 61 in Thulamela, Makhado (31), Musina (23) and Collins Chabane (7). The Waterberg district recorded a further 51 cases; Modimolle-Mookgophong (21), Mogalakwena (12), Bela-Bela (9), Lepahale (7) and Thabazimbi (2). A total of 37 cases were reported in the Mopani District; Tzaneen (19), Ba-Phalaborwa (6), Giyani (4), Letaba (4) and Maruleng (4).

The Sekhukhune district recorded 30 new cases, Makhuduthamaga (14), Elias Motsoaledi (11) and Ephraim Mogale (5). Of the new cases reported 10 cases are unallocated.
