Limpopo records 396 new Covid-19 cases in last 24-hours

According to the latest statistics by the Health Department, as of 25 December the number of cumulative cases is the province stands at 21 219.

LIMPOPO – According to the Limpopo Health Department’s Covid-19 statistics the number of active cases climbed to 1 592 and recoveries to 19 084.

Of the 396 new cases the majority were recorded in the Capricorn district. Polokwane recorded 145 new cases while 18 cases were reported in Lepelle Nkumpi, and six each in the Blouberg and Molemole municipalities, respectively.

A total of 72 new cases were reported in the Vhembe district; 25 in Thulamela, Makhado (22), Collins Chabane (18) and Musina (6).

In Waterberg district; Thabazimbi recorded 49 new cases, Lephalale (10), Modimolle-Mookgophong (9) and Bela-Bela (3).

A total of 55 new cases were reported in the Mopani district; Tzaneen (32), nine each in Ba-Phalaborwa and Giyani and Letaba (5).

A total of 20 new cases were reported in the Sekhukhune district, Elias Motsoaledi (9), Makhuduthamaga (7) and Fetakgomo/Tubatse (4).
 
Of the new cases reported three cases are unallocated.
