Limpopo’s Covid-19 cases stand at 20 438

According to the latest statistics by the Health Department, 164 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, of which 89 were reported in Polokwane.

LIMPOPO – According to the Limpopo Health Department’s Covid-19 statistics of 23 December, the number of cumulative cases is 20 438, while the number of active cases climbed to 1 172. Thus far, 534 deaths have been recorded.

Of the 164 new cases the majority were recorded in the Capricorn district (92);  Polokwane recorded the majority (89) and Lepelle Nkumpi (3).

The Waterberg district followed suit and recorded 39 new cases; Modimolle-Mookgophong (17),  Lephalale (12), Thabazimbi (6), Bela-Bela (3) and one in Mogalakwena. The Mopani district recorded 24 new cases; Tzaneen (11), Ba-Phalaborwa (8), Letaba (3) and Giyani (2).

A total of seven new cases were reported in the Vhembe district; of which four cases were reported in Makhado, Thulamela (2) and Collins Chabane (1).
Fetakgomo/Tubatse in the Sekhukhune district recorded two new cases.
