Limpopo: 192 more Covid-19 cases; active cases at 976

The majority of new cases were recorded in Polokwane.

LIMPOPO – According to the Limpopo Health Department’s Covid-19 statistics of 21 December, 192 new cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours. The number of cumulative cases is 20 139, while the number of active cases climbed to 976. This far, 528 deaths have been recorded.

Of the 192 new cases the majority were recorded in the Capricorn district (61);  Polokwane recorded the majority (53), Lepelle Nkumpi (5), Blouberg (2) and Molemole (1).

The Vhembe district recorded 43 new cases; of which 22 cases were reported in Thulamela, 16 in Makhado, Musina (3) and Collins Chabane (2).

The Waterberg district followed suit and recorded 42 new cases; Modimolle-Mookgophong (13), Lephalale (10), Thabazimbi (9), Bela-Bela (8) and Mogalakwena (2).

A total of 25 new cases were reported in the Sekhukhune district; Elias Motsoaledi (14), Ephraim Mogale (6), Makhuduthmaga (4) and Fetakgomo/Tubatse (1).

The Mopani district recorded 21 new cases; Tzaneen (15), Ba-Phalaborwa (4), and one each in the Giyani and Letaba municipalities, respectively.

Three of the new cases are in transit.
