Limpopo’s Covid-19 cases stand at 19 227

According to the latest statistics by the Health Department, 89 new positive cases and three deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.

LIMPOPO – The number of cumulative positive cases of Covid-19 is at 19 227, of which 511 cases are still active. The Limpopo Health Department’s latest statistics indicate that 89 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours. Of the new cases reported, three are in-transit and one is unallocated.

The most new cases were recorded in the Capricorn district (44), with Polokwane having recorded 39 new cases and Lepelle Nkumpi five new cases.

The Vhembe district followed with 20 new cases; 10 in Thulamela, five in Makhado, four in Musina and one new case in Collins Chabane municipality.

A total of 12 new cases were reported in the Waterberg district of which Thabazimbi and Bela-Bela each recorded four. Mogalakwena reported two new cases and Lephalale and Modimolle-Mookgophong each recorded one new case.

Mopani reported nine new cases; seven in Tzaneen and one each in Ba-Phalaborwa and Greater Letaba municipalities, respectively.

Four new cases were recorded in the Sekhukhune district, with Fetakgomo Tubatse and Makhuduthamaga municipalities recording two each.

Thus far, 18 198 people have recovered from the virus and a total of 124 952 tests have been conducted.
