Limpopo’s Covid-19 cases spike in last 24 hours

According to the latest statistics by the Health Department, 105 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.

LIMPOPO -The province’s number of cumulative positive cases of Covid-19 is at 19 138, of which 465 cases are still active.

The Limpopo Health Department’s latest statistics indicate that 105 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours. Of the new cases reported, three are in-transit, one is unallocated and one has been reallocated to another province.

The most new cases were recorded in the Capricorn district (45), while Vhembe recorded 28 new cases, Waterberg had 14 new cases, 10 were recorded in Mopani and eight in Sekhukhune. Thus far, 18 158 people have recovered from the virus.

A total of 123 858 tests have been conducted to date, with the majority done by the private sector (74 934). The public sector has conducted the other 48 924.
