Learners urged to make wise decisions

Headmaster of PEPPS Polokwane, Amanda Korff urged the Gr 7 class of 2020 to make wise decisions in order to be successful in life.

Headmaster of PEPPS Polokwane, Amanda Korff urged the Gr 7 class of 2020 to make wise decisions in order to be successful in life.
Korff was addressing the learners at their Bell Ringing Ceremony at the school last Thursday.
The ceremony simbolises the exit of the learners as they prepare to embark on their high school journey next year.
She stressed that learners need to be thoughtful and take responsibility for their lives.
“Remember that you are free to make choices but we are never free of the consequences of those choices,” Korff told the learners.
She further remarked that this year has been unkind in many ways but rather than dwelling on the negatives learners must be mindful of all the gifts that they have been afforded.
“The gift of continued health. The sustenance of your family, friendships and school throughout these trying times. You must be grateful for the many opportunities presented to you where you were required to practice independence, self-motivation and self-discipline and you were successful. With every success, you build your confidence.
“Gratitude is an important attribute to possess and practice.”
“You have completed your Gr 7 year. All work is in, and marks are ready to be revealed. When you look back you will realise how quickly time goes by. High school will come and go very quickly,” Korff concluded.
