Limpopo’s Covid-19 cases at 18 697

According to the latest statistics by the Health Department, 37 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.

LIMPOPO – The province’s number of cumulative cases of Covid-19 is at 18 697, of which 512 deaths have thus far been recorded.

The Limpopo Health Department’s latest statistics indicate that 37 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.

The most new cases were recorded in the Capricorn district (15), while Mopani and Vhembe each had eight new cases, Waterberg had four and Sekhukhune had two.

Thus far, 512 people have passed away due to Covid-19 related complications and 17 890 people have recovered. The number of active cases is at 295.

A total of 120 572 tests have been conducted to date, with the majority done by the private sector (72 479). The public sector has conducted the other 48 093 tests, of which 6 434 were positive.
