Limpopo’s Covid-19 cases at 18 560

According to the latest statistics by the Health Department, 40 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.

LIMPOPO – The province’s number of cumulative cases of Covid-19 is at 18 560, of which 507 deaths have thus far been recorded.

The Limpopo Health Department’s latest statistics indicate that 40 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours. The most new cases were recorded in the Vhembe district (17), while Capricorn had 13 new cases, Waterberg five, Sekhukhune three and Mopani three.

Thus far, 507 people have passed away due to Covi-19 related complications and 17 789 people have recovered.

The number of active cases is at 264 of which 71 are in the Capricorn district.

A total of 118 986 tests have been conducted to date, with the majority done by the private sector (71 276). The public sector has conducted the other 47 710 tests, of which 6 382 were positive.
