POLOKWANE – One person was killed and several others injured in a collision on the N1 just outside Polokwane yesterday morning (Saturday, 28 November).
According to a statement released by ER24 the collision involved a taxi and a sedan.
“Paramedics who arrived on the scene found the driver of one of the vehicles trapped behind the steering wheel and freed him from the wreckage. He was later transported to a local hospital for further care. Two other people were treated on the scene for moderate injuries and also transported to a hospital,” the statement reads.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision will form part of a police investigation.
