Limpopo’s Covid-19 cases stand at 18 179

The province has recorded a total of 658 new Covid-19 cases and 27 deaths this month.

LIMPOPO – According to the latest statistics issued by the Department of Health the province has shown an increase of 658 new Covid-19 cases and 27 deaths since the start of November.

To date, a total of 17 387 of the 18 179 patients have recovered, bringing the recovery rate to 95.6%.

The Capricorn district is still the man contributor with 5 901 cases followed by Waterberg with a total of 4 271 cases. Mopani follows closely with 2 866 cases, Sekhukhune with 2 842 cases and lastly Vhembe with 2 295 cases. The Polokwane Municipality still leads the pack with 4 970 cumulative positive cases and 165 deaths.

A total of 119 304 tests have been conducted, 55 639 were done by the public sector and 63 665 were done by the private sector.
