‘We want to see every child receive quality education’ – Polokwane businessman

Polokwane businessman, Shabback Maphotho told Gr 12 learners at an interdenominational prayer meeting, that every child deserves quality education.

LIMPOPO – “Education plays a vital role in the community,” says Polokwane businessman, Shabback Maphotho.

Maphotho addressed Gr 12 learners, who are part of the Bahananwa North and South Circuit, at an interdenominational prayer meeting which was held at Aldorado Stadium in Bochum Ga-Malebogo recently.

The meeting was held to encourage the learners to perform well in their upcoming exams and Maphotho offered two of the best performing learners R15 000 toward registration, as well as a laptop each.

The Bahanwana North Circuit Manager, Sara Tlhako, wished the learners the best for the future. “The circuit standard was at 70% last year and it is up to you to improve the standard of the Bahananwa North circuit. Only two schools underperform out of the 11 schools in Bahananwa North, but you must continue working hard and improve your performances. I am very happy about the support that we receive from the teachers, union and the stakeholders, as they makes us stronger. I want you to focus on studying hard,” said Tlhako.

Maphotho stressed the importance of focus during the examinations and during their time at institutions of higher learning. “We as the business people help where we can help because we want to see every child receive quality education. This is my way of giving back to the community that I serve every day,” said Maphotho.
