Unsolved murder cases: Limpopo police offer monetary rewards worth R900 000 for information

The police in Limpopo are offering monetary rewards of up to R250 000 each for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of person (s) responsible for specified unsolved crimes.

LIMPOPO – These crimes were committed 2018 and 2020 and the police is appealing to members of the public to come forward with information that could lead to the arrest of suspects involved in the following crimes:

R150 000 reward in triple murder of granny and two children

Paulina Mafifi  (70) and her two grandchildren, Nathaniel Mafifi (9) and Selaelo Mafifi (7) were found murdered in their home in Maokeng village on 7 July.

All three deceased had multiple stab wounds throughout their bodies. The 29-year-old mother of the two children, was reportedly not in the house during the incident.

R200 000 reward in double murder of Bolobedu couple

The bodies of the couple, Nius Malatji (21) and Lusia Malapane (18), were found in their home at ga-Rapitsi Village, Itireleng Section near Bolobedu on Tuesday, 6 October.

According to earlier reports  their bodies were found by the man’s employer, who is also said to be their neighbour. “He reportedly went to the house at about 12:00 to check on Malatji, after he failed to report for work. Upon arrival, he heard the frantic cries of a baby and called out. When no one responded he entered the house and found the couple lying on the bed in a bedroom. Their 12-month-old baby girl was next to them,” said Police Spokesperson, Brig Motlafela Mojapleo. Both deceased had multiple deep wounds throughout their bodies.

R50 000 reward in murder of Mudanalo Dzivhani

Mudanalo Dzivhani was killed during a house robbery that took place on 1 May 2019 at Mukula village in the Thohoyandou Policing area.

R100 000 reward: Murder of Polokwane estate agent

50-year-old woman Nomvula Joyce Monareng was attacked and stabbed to death by an unknown assailant in Seshego, Zone 8 on 14 October. Preliminary police investigations revealed that Monareng was in a vehicle with her assailant when she was stabbed.

“The said vehicle was stopped at an intersection when the victim emerged. She was badly injured and collapsed nearby. An unknown man, wearing a yellow overalls, was seen jumping out of the vehicle and fleei from the scene,” said Brig Motlefela Mojapelo.

The police have offered a reward of R100 000 for information which can lead to the arrests and conviction of the suspect involved.

R250 000 reward in murder of Mangetane Rebecca Motwiana

Mangetane Rebecca Motwiana was allegedly shot to death inside her house at Apiesdoring village in the Burgersfort Policing area on 21 June 2018

R50 000 reward in murder of Venus Onica Maluleke

The deceased, Venus Onica Maluleke was inside her house in Malamulele when unknown suspect(s) allegedly threw a petrol bomb at the door. She suffered serious burn wounds and passed on later in hospital.

Meanwhile the police are also offering a R100 000 monetary reward for information on the whereabouts of 32-year-old Dikeledi Karel Sebopetsa from Satlaleng village near Modjadji Headkraal in the Bolobedu Policing area outside Tzaneen.

According to Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe Sebopetsa is reportedly a teacher at Lerale Secondary school in ga-Boxa village. “She allegedly departed home in the morning going to work but she never arrived and had since disappeared. A reward of R100 000 has been offered.”

Alternatively they can contact the 24-hour Crime Stop number at 0860010111, supply information via the MySAPSApp or their nearest police station.

“Callers may remain anonymous should they wish to and all information will be treated with strict confidentiality,” Ngeope concluded.
