Limpopo’s Covid-19 cases at 17 780

The Limpopo Health Department says 476 Covid-19 related deaths have been recorded to date.

LIMPOPO – According to the Limpopo Department of Health’s latest statistics on Covid-19 in the province, the cumulative number of active cases is 17 780. Of these cases, 16 951 people have recovered and 353 are active cass.

The department says 476 Covid-19 related deaths have been recorded to date.

In the last 24 hours, 59 new cases of the virus were recorded. The Capricorn and Mopani districts both recorded 15 new cases each, while 14 were recorded in the Waterberg district. Vhembe recorded 10 new cases and Sekhukhune had five new cases.

Polokwane had the majority of new cases (15) followed by Lephalale (10) and Ba-Phalaborwa (9).

Thus far, 115 116 tests have been conducted of which 60 804 were done in the private sector and 54 312 were done in the public sector.
