Leshabane and Mphuti were shot and killed ‘execution style’ on 10 October in Magna Via. Preliminary police investigations, at the time, revealed that the two women were with a local property agent, viewing various business premises with the view of renting, when the shooting occurred.

Their murder sparked community outcry with protestors gathering outside the Polokwane Magistrate’s court religiously for all the appearances. The suspects, who remain in police custody, are facing two counts of murder and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
