Limpopo Covid-19 cases stand at 17 521

The province recorded an increase of 409 new positive Covid-19 cases this past week. 

LIMPOPO – According to the latest figures issued by the Department of Health, the province currently stands at 17 521 cases, 16 558 recoveries and 460 deaths.

The Polokwane Municipality still has most positive cumulative cases in the province (4 837) and the most deaths (161). Thabazimbi comes in second with 1 922 cases and 19 deaths and Fetakgomo Tubtase follows with 1 085 cases and 28 deaths.

A total of 86 new cases were reported in the last 24-hours; 30 in the Waterberg, 26 in Mopani, 17 in Capricorn, 11 in Vhembe and 2 in Sekhukhune district.

Thus far, 112 551 tests have been conducted of which 53 431 were done by the public sector and 59 120 were done by the private sector. A total of 473 cases are still active.
