Thorisho Kgomo case to resume in 2021

The family of Thorisho Kgomo says his murder case has dragged on long enough.

POLOKWANE – The family of Thorisho Kgomo says his murder case has dragged on long enough.

Kgomo’s murder trial is expected to take place from 13 to 18 March 2021 in the Polokwane High Court. Spokesperson for the family, Rhodes Kgomo, says the family wants to be able to move on.

“There were a few times when we had begun to lose confidence in the justice system because of all the delays in the matter. We had hoped that by this time justice would have been served but we will continue to hope for the best.”

He says the prosecution had previously explained to the family the reasons for the delays and they are hoping there will be no glitches from now on.

Kgomo, a Luthuli Park resident, was stabbed multiple times on 1 January in Seshego Zone 3 while at a party with friends. He succumbed to his injuries in hospital a few days later. Kgomo was set to start Gr 12 at Northern Academy this year.
