Limpopo Covid-19 cases stand at 17 041

The majority of the new cases were reported in Polokwane

LIMPOPO – The province saw an increase of 81 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours and currently stands at 17 041 cases, 16 151 recoveries and 439 active cases.

The Waterberg district recorded the majority of new cases (24), while Mopani recorded 18 new cases, Capricorn 17, Vhembe 17 and Sekhukhune three.

The most new cases were recorded in Polokwane (22), followed by Lephalale (12) and Phalaborwa (9). The Limpopo Health Department said thus far 451 people have died from the virus in the province.

Thus far, 109 013 tests have been conducted of which 52 270 were done by the public sector and 56 743 were done by the private sector.
