Limpopo’s Covid-19 cases stand at 16 819

The province has recorded a total of 1 532 new Covid-19 cases and 49 deaths this month.

LIMPOPO – According to the latest statistics issued by the Department of Health the province has shown an increase of 1 532 new Covid-19 cases and 49 deaths since the start of October. To date, a total of 15 895 of the 16 819 patients have recovered, bringing the recovery rate to 94.5%.

The Capricorn district is still the man contributor with 5 621 cases followed by Sekhukhune with a total of 3 852 cases. Waterberg follows closely with 3 834 cases, Mopani with 2 543 cases and lastly Vhembe with 2 054 cases.

The Polokwane Municipality still leads the pack with 4 733 positive cases and 155 deaths.

To date a total of 106 998 tests have been conducted, 51 477 were done by the public sector and 55 521 were done by the private sector.
