Limpopo Education Department labels vacancies ad as fake

A document has been widely shared on social media and email.

LIMPOPO – The Limpopo Department of Education has reiterated that job vacancies of the department are advertised in public newspapers, their website and their social media platforms.

The department’s Spokesperson, Tidimalo Chuene, addressed this in a statement after a document had been widely shared on social media and email. “The document is advertising positions of schools assistants, teachers and directors of studies,” Chuene explained.

She said the document is fake and its contents should be disregarded. “The document carries the coat of arms of the national government and that of the provincial department. The email addresses used in the document are also not of any government establishment,” she added.

Chuene said applicants are required to complete a Z83 form, which can be found on the departmental website. The form can then be hand delivered or sent via post, together with all required information.

“We are currently working with law enforcement agencies to help track and apprehend these perpetrators who are determined to take advantage of desperate job seekers,” she concluded.
