SASCO marches for the improvement of TVET colleges

A memorandum of demands was handed over to the Capricorn TVET College on Wednesday, 14 October

POLOKWANE – The South African Students Congress (Sasco), today marched to Capricorn TVET’s central office to hand over a memorandum of demands that calls for the inclusion and improvement of TVET colleges.

Bernard Gcina, a member of the Provincial Task Team, says they have on numerous occasions written letters demanding that TVET colleges be taken seriously and felt it was time for a more proactive approach. “We have been barking with no bite, it is time we show that we mean business by staging this protest and handing over a memorandum directly to the CEO of the college.”

Sasco says it is standing in solidarity with all TVET colleges and hopes that the memorandum will not fall on deaf ears.
