[VIDEO] Water supply infrastructure vandalised, water supply to the city temporarily stopped
Residents are warned of possible water shortages and are advised to use water sparingly.
LIMPOPO – According to Thipa Selala, Spokesperson for the Polokwane Municipality, Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) has just notified the municipality that water supply from Olifantspoort has been stopped.
This is due to the vandalism of the chamber along the supply line earlier today.

Areas to be affected includes the city, Thokgwaneng, Ga-Maja, Ga-Chuene and Seshego. Thipa says technicians are on the scene to assess the damage.
“At this stage there is no estimated time for repairs and the municipality will provide regular updates in terms of any new developments and concerning the repairs on the line.”
All users are in the meantime advised to use water sparingly.
