Investigations into the circumstances of the shooting are ongoing.

LIMPOPO – The body of a 28-year-old man was found at a farmhouse at Frischgegaard farm between Stoffberg and Groblersdal, at around 00:30 this morning. The body had multiple gunshot wounds according to Police Spokesperson, Brig Motlafela Mojapelo, who said the deceased has been identified as Raymond Gregory Papapavlou.

“The police were called to the scene and found the wife of the deceased with other members of the community. The bullet-riddled body of the deceased was found in one of the rooms,” Mojapelo said.

According to the Groblersdal Police Spokesperson, Adj Officer Stanley Magaela, the bedroom door was slightly open and the woman fired seven warning shots through the door.
Reports suggests Papapavlou was shot five times; once in the head, three times in the side and once in the back. There weren’t signs of wrestling and Papapavlou was declared dead at the scene.

Mojapelo added that investigations into the circumstances of the shooting have already begun.

The Provincial Police Commissioner, Lt Gen Nneke Ledwaba has asked that the incident should be thoroughly investigated and the culprit(s) arrested.
