LIMPOPO – An earlier head-on collision near Veekraal, on the R71, has claimed the life of one person, while another has been seriously injured.
The Department of Transport and Community Safety’s Media Liaison Officer, Mike Maringa, told Review that a 26-year-old woman was killed in the collision between a bakkie and sedan.
The deceased drove the sedan while the person who has been seriously injured drove the bakkie.
Maringa confirmed that the person was rushed to hospital.
This is the second fatal accident in the area, in the space of 10 days. Traffic Policing Affairs Limpopo said on 20 September that three vehicles crashed on the same road, subsequently killing two people while three others sustained serious injuries.
