Limpopo Covid-19 cases surpass 14 000 mark
The most new cases were recorded in Polokwane.
In the last 24 hours, the Limpopo Health Department says 80 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded. The total number of cases is currently at 14 008, of which 447 cases are active.
One more death was recorded in Molemole and thus far 258 people have died from the virus. According to the latest figures issued by the department, 13 303 people have recovered.
Capricorn district recorded the most new cases (26) followed by Vhembe (19), Waterberg (15), Mopani (13) and Sekhukhune (7). Of this, Polokwane had the most new cases (19) followed by Thulamela (9).
Thus far, 88 719 tests have been conducted, of which 44 437 in the public sector and 44 282 in the private sector.
