A hearty donation for the people of Seshego

Founder of the Salaamut Group, Nazneen Khan says she is grateful for the assistance she received in placing 700 loaves of bread on the tables of residents who needed it the most.

POLOKWANE – The Salaamut Group donated 700 loaves of bread to the people of Seshego on 6 September. A team from the non-profit organisation visited various parts of Seshego where they handed out bread to people that needed it the most.

The donation was made possible through a generous donation from Golden Bakery who sponsored the first 100 loaves, motivating other people to also get on board with the initiative.

Nazneen Khan expressed her gratitude to the bakery, saying every little bit counts. “We are grateful to everyone who donated money, the actual loaves and their time to help the less fortunate,” she said.

Ali Raza, Director of Golden Bakery said that they decided to be part of the initiative because they want to play a part in helping the community. “If I have something that can help someone else, why shouldn’t I give it with an open heart? I believe that the hand that gives also receives in abundance,” he said.
