Jerusalema has peaked in the top 10 of charts worldwide, with most of its impressions (24.8 million) gained in July 2020. The song also reached number one in Belgium and France and has since been remixed into Zulu, Pidgin English, Portuguese as well as Yoruba.

Speaking to Review at the end of July, when the video had peaked at 50 million views, Master KG said the song’s global success means a lot and that he shares the success with Limpopo. “God has been good to me and this is not my success alone. I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with Burna Boy. The reception of Jerusalema has been overwhelming and I am humbled by how it has transcended borders at a time when the world is considered closed. Music has the power to unite but I still need to work with local artists to make sure I uplift the talent at home,” he said.

On Tuesday, he noted the success of the song and how it lifts peoples spirits, unites and gives hope, as something special that has happened in his life.
