Limpopo Covid-19 cases rise to 12 531

A total of 10 deaths were reported, bringing the total to 171. See a breakdown per district and municipality here

LIMPOPO – According to the latest figures issued by the Limpopo Health Department, the province stands at 12 531 cases of which 1 686 are active. A total of 10 674 people have recovered and 171 deaths have been recorded.

A total of 174 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, of which the majority were reported in Polokwane and Fatakgomo Tubatse.

The Capricorn District recorded the most new cases, of which 67 were reported in Polokwane, four in Lepelle Nkumpi and two in the Bouberg municipality. The Sekhukhune district recorded the 41 new cases, 18 in Fetakgomo Tubatse, 11 in Makhuduthmaga, nine in Elias Motsoaledi and three in Ephraim Mogale.

A total of 23 new cases were reported in the Mopani district, 16 in Tzaneen, four in Ba-Phalaborwa, two in Giyani and one in the Maruleng municipality. In the Waterberg District; seven Modimolle-Mokgophong, seven in Lephalale, four in Mogalakwena, two in Thabazimbi and one in Bela Bela. The Vhembe district recorded  16 new cases,nine in Thulamela and seven in Makhado.
