R100K reward offered for ‘valuable info’ on Spokesperson’s killer

The Spokesperson of the Ledwaba Tribal Authority, Frans Jim Ledwaba, was killed in May this year.

LIMPOPO – Police in Limpopo are offering a reward of up to R100 000 for any ‘valuable information’ that can lead to the arrest of the person responsible for the death of Frans Jim Ledwaba.

Ledwaba was killed in Makotse village, outside Mokopane on Thursday, 14 May.

“The unknown assailant, covered with a face mask, entered the Tribal Authority offices and fired several shots at the chief’s spokesperson, killing him instantly. The man got into a vehicle that was waiting for him and drove off,” read a statement by Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

Ngoepe said the information provided will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.

He added that the motive behind Ledwaba’s murder is unclear at this stage and that the Provincial Tracking Team has been working around the clock to track the man responsible.
