960 active cases of Covid-19 in Limpopo

The recovery rate of the province is currently at 89,9%. Here is a breakdown per district and municipality

LIMPOPO – The province saw an increase of 73 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours and currently stands at 10 844 of which 9 757 people have recovered. The number of active cases in the province is 960.

The Limpopo Health Department said no deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours; 127 people have died from the virus in the province.

Thabazimbi recorded the most new cases (30) followed by Polokwane (25) and Greater Tzaneen and Fetakgomo/Tubatse (five each).

Waterberg was the district that recorded the majority of new cases (32) while Capricorn had 26 new cases, Mopani had 9 new cases, Sekhukhune had five new cases and Vhembe had one new case.

Thus far, 70 635 tests have been conducted of which 36 395 were done by the public sector and 34 240 were done by the private sector.
