Lockdown day 139: Country records 2 512 new cases

According to the department, 5 282 new tests were conducted in the private sector and 6 201 in the public sector

A total of 11 483 Covid-19 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, with 2 512 new cases. The National Department of Health reported 130 more Covid-19 related deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 10 751.

It is reported that 5 282 new tests were conducted in the private sector and 6 201 in the public sector. The overall number of positive cases in South Africa is currently at 566 109, of which 326 835 are female and 234 990 are male. The total recoveries stand at 426 125.
