37 more Covid-19 deaths in Limpopo

Polokwane has thus far recorded the most deaths in the province. Here is a breakdown per district and municipality

LIMPOPO – The province has seen an increase of 1 791 Covid-19 cases and 60 deaths thus far this month.

According to the latest figures issued by the Limpopo Health Department, the province stands at 10 318 cases of which 2 364 are active. A total of 7 827 people have recovered and 127 deaths have been recorded.

A total of 207 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, of which the majority were reported in Polokwane (39) and Fetakgomo Tubatse (32).

The Capricorn district  recorded the most new cases (52) followed by Sekhukhune (48) and Waterberg (40). The Vhembe district followed with 33 new cases and 31 in Mopani. Three cases are in  transit and three are unallocated.

Polokwane has recorded the most deaths (six), followed by Fetagkomo Tubatse (7), Tzaneen (5), Makhado (5), Lepelle-Nkumpi (3), Ba-Phalaborwa (2), Thulamela (2) and Thabazimbi (2).

One each was recorded in Giyani, Elias Motsoaledi, Ephraim Mogakle, Makhuduthmaga and Collins Chabane municipalities, respectively.
