[TAKE NOTE] Rates Hall, Building section closed after staffers test positive for Covid-19

The Rates Hall and Building section will be decontaminated as part of the safety and prevention protocols.

POLOKWANE – Residents are advised that the Polokwane Municipality’s Rates Hall and Building section (for submission of building plans) will be temporarily closed after staffers tested positive for Covid-19.

Municipal Spokesperson, Thipa Selala says that in an effort to ensure the safety of its employees and visitors to the centres, the municipality will close both sections for disinfection on Friday, 7 August.

“Residents who wish to make payments are in the meantime advised to to make use of the other available payment methods such as Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) and EasyPay at Spar, Pep, Woolworths, Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Checkers, Post Office, Total and Sasol fuel stations.”

Selala adds that due to Monday being a public holiday, the Rates Hall will only resume operations from Tuesday, 11 August.

“As the Polokwane Municipality we urge all employees and members of the public to observe and practice Covid-19 safety measures; these include the wearing of a face mask at all time, regularly washing hands with soap or sanitiser, social distancing and coughing etiquette,” he concludes.
