These Seshego areas will be without power today

The Polokwane Municipality has advised residents and businesses to treat all electrical wiring as live.

POLOKWANE – The power supply in the Seshego area will be interrupted today.

According to a statement by Municipal Spokesperson, Thipa Selala, the interruption is due to a metering project at the Stigma substation being connected and finalised.

Selala advised residents and businesses to treat all electrical wiring as live and to switch off all electrical appliances to avoid injury and damage once the supply is restored.

“The following areas are currently off: Seshego zone 1 to 8, all Seshego extensions, Luthuli Park, Madiba Park, Seshego Hospital, Hospital View, Seshego Circle Shopping Centre and the Seshego Campus of Capricorn TVET College,” Selala added.

He said that the power supply is expected to be restored at 14:00 and he urged stakeholders to report electricity relating challenges to the Smart Meter Support Centre at 087 350 2770 or WhatsApp at 064 963 9609.
