343 more Covid-19 cases recorded in Limpopo

The province also recorded three more deaths in the last 24 hours.

LIMPOPO – The province saw an increase of 343 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours and currently stands at 7 107 cases, 3 588 recoveries and 3 452 active cases.

The Thulamela Municipality recorded three Covid-19 deaths.

The Capricorn district recorded the majority of new cases, with 96 being reported in Polokwane, nine in Lepelle-Nkumpi, three in Molemole and one in Blouberg.

A total of 63 cases were reported in Sekhukhune; 29 in Fetakgomo Tubatse, 18 in Elias Motsoaledi and 16 in Makhuduthmaga. Mopani recorde the 3rd most cases, with Tzaneen recording 25, Ba-Phalaborwa 16, Giyani 13 and six in the Letaba Municipality.

Waterberg Mmunicipality recorded 59 new cases, of which the majority were reported in Thabazimbi (40), seven in Mogalakwena, six in Lephalale, five in Modimolle-Mookgophong and one in Bela-Bela.

The Vhembe area recorded 59 new cases, 17 in Makhado, 15 in Thulamela, 12 in Collins Chabane and seven in the Musina Municipality.

Three cases are in transit and two unallocated.
