Pipe burst to affect water supply to the city
High lying areas in the city are already reporting low water pressure
POLOKWANE – A pipe has burst along the Dap Naudé pipeline. According to the Spokesperson for the Polokwane Municpality, Thipa Selala says as a result, the water supply to the city has been affected.
High lying areas such as Flora Park, Serala View, Sterpark and Bendor are already experiencing low water pressure, he explains.
He assures residents that a municipal team is working on fixing the damage to the pipeline. He adds that however, given the extent of the problem and works that needs to be undertaken, the team is unable to estimate restoration time.
Residents are advised to use water sparingly during this time to minimize the affect on the reservoir levels.
