Limpopo Covid-19 cases rise to 6 762

The province saw an increase of 343 cases in the last 24 hours

LIMPOPO – The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Limpopo now stands at 6 762, with 3 489 recoveries and 64 deaths by Sunday, 26 July.

The cases have increased by 343 in the last 24 hours.

Of the 366 cases, 103 were reported in the Sekhukhune district, with Fetakgomo Tubatse recording 56 new cases, Elias Motsoaledi 30, Makhuduthmaga 16 and one in Ephraim Mogale.

A total of 96 cases were reported in Capricorn, of which 87 were reported in Polokwane, seven in Lepelle Nkumpi and one in in the Blouberg and Molemole municipalities, respectively.

In the Waterberg district, Thabazimbi recorded 38 new cases, eight in Mogalakwena, six in Lephalale, three in Bela Bela and two in Modimolle-Mookgophong municipality.

The Mopani district recorded 47 new cases, of which 23 were reported in Tzaneen, nine in Ba-Phalaborwa, nine in Giyani and six in Letaba.

A total of 35 new cases were reported in the Vhembe district; 16 in Makhado, 14 in Thulamela, four in Collins Chabane and three in Musina. Three cases are in transit and one unallocated.
