43% of Covid-19 patients in Limpopo have recovered

According to the latest figures by the Department of Health, 1 503 people have recovered.

LIMPOPO – As of Wednesday, 15 July the Covid-19 cases in Limpopo stand at 3 482 with the active cases at 1 937, according to the latest Covid-19 figures issued by the Department of Health.

An increase of 142 cases were reported in the last 24 hours with three in transit and eight unallocated. Of these cases, most were recorded in Polokwane and Thabazimbi.

A total of 46 new cases were reported in the Waterberg district, of which 39 were reported in Thbazimbi, four in Mogalkwena, two in Bela-Bela and one in Lephalale.

In the Capricorn district, 37 cases were reported in Polokwane, three in Molemole, and three each in Blouberg and Lepelle Nkumpi municipalities, respectively.

Sekhukhune recorded 19 new cases, 12 in Fetakgomo  Tubatse, four in Makhuduthmaga and three in Elias Motsoaledi.

Mopani saw and increase of 17 cases, of which nine were reported in Tzaneen, Giyani four, Letaba two and one each in the Ba-Phalaborwa and Maruleng municipalities, respectively.

Vhembe recorded 14 new cases, Musina six, Thuamela three, Makhado three, Collins Chabane two.

The province has thus far recorded 42 Covid-19 deaths.
