Limpopo: 5 more Covid-19 deaths

This brings the total of Covid-19 related deaths in the province, to 10.

LIMPOPO – According to the Department of Health, the province recorded 76 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total cases to 1 018.

Five more people have died, bringing the total of Covid-19 related deaths to 10: two in Lepelle Nkumpi, two in Polokwane and one in the Modimolle-Mookgophong district.

Of the 76 news cases 19 were reported in Lephalale, 13 in Polokwane, 12 in Thulamela, six in Letaba, five in Tzaneen, five in Fetakgomo Tubatse, three in Lepelle-Nkumpi, two in Mauleng, two in Elias Motsoaledi, two in Makhuduthamaga, two in Musina and one each in the Ba-Phalaborwa, Giyani, Collins Chabane, Mogalakwena and Thabazimbi districts, respectively.

The department confirmed that the province currently has 520 recoveries, 488 active cases, and three in transit.

To date 30401 tests have been conducted of which 17 756 were in public and 12 645 at private laboratories.
