Manhunt for escapee (40) from Mokopane police station
The man escaped following his court appearance earlier.
LIMPOPO – A 40-year-old man is on the run after he escaped from the holding cells at the Mokopane Police Station.
Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe says the escapee, Owen Alexander, was arrested on a number of burglary charges and escaped soon after he appeared in the Mokopane Regional Court.
A manhunt which was activated and comprises members of the police from various units including the SAPS Air-Wing, has been unsuccessful and the police appeals to the public to assist them with any valuable information that can lead to his apprehension.

Ngoepe adds that investigations into the circumstances surrounding this incident are still underway.
