Covid-19 cases in Limpopo nearing 300-mark

More than 90% of the positive results came from Covid-19 tests conducted by the private sector.

LIMPOPO – As of 12 June the number of positive Covid-19 cases in Limpopo stands at 284, an increase of 13 cases in the last 24 hours. The number of active Covid-19 cases is now over 100.

According to the latest figures released by the Department of Health, the province has conducted 20 416 tests; 11 939 public of which 19 tested positive and 8 477 private of which 265 tested positive.

The department confirmed that 13 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours; two in Polokwane, two in Tzaneen, four in Fetakgomo Tubatse and one each in Ba-Phalaborwa, Collins Chabane, Makhado, Musina and Bela Bela, respectively.

A total of 105 cases are active and the province has recorded 175 recoveries.
