Cops nab woman (63) with dagga worth R800 000

The woman was arrested for dealing and will appear in court later today.

LIMPOPO – The 63-year-old woman who was earlier this week charged with possession of and dealing in dagga, was denied bail in the Bolobedu Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

Her arrest was effected after a tip-off led detectives in Tzaneen, assisted by the K9-unit, to a premises in Bolobedu South.

Police Spokesperson, Brig Motlafela Mojapelo said in a statement the police discovered 14 bags of dagga, which weighed 211,2 kg.

“The woman was arrested and the dagga, with an estimated street value of over R800 000 was confiscated,” Mojapelo he confirmed.

The woman will appear in the same court on 27 May, while police investigations continue, said Mojapelo.

The woman was arrested on 20 May and will appear in the Bolobedu Magistrate’s Court today, 22 May.
