The police arrested all five suspects following a tip-off about suspected illegal activities at a townhouse in the central business district. Three men were arrested at the said house during the raid and 150 bottles of 500ml Adco-salterpyn medicine and a huge amount of cash was confiscated.

Further investigation led the team to nearby flats where the other suspects  were arrested and more cash was confiscated.

Police Spokesperson, Brig Motlafela Mojapelo says the two men will be deported back to their country of origin. The remaining three men, aged 23, 28 and 40, face additional charges of contravention of the Medicine and Related Substances Control Act and possession of unregistered medicine and are expected to appear in the same court today (21 May) for bail application.

Police investigations continue.
