‘Dagga distributor’ nabbed in Modimolle

The 35-year-old man was among one of two people arrested for dealing in dagga

LIMPOPO – A 35-year-old man, believed to be a main distributor of dagga in the Modimolle area, was one of two people arrested for dealing in dagga during a intelligence-driven operation on Saturday, says the police.

The operation was conducted by members from the Bela-Bela, Modimolle Crime Intelligence units and Public Order Policing (POPS).

Police Spokesperson, Brig Motlafela Mojapelo says the 35-year-old man was arrested after he was found to be in the possession of 2,58 kg of dagga. The second suspect was arrested at a house at Mabaleng, Alma Section and 1,83 kg of dagga was found.

During the incident the police confiscated dagga worth an estimated street value of R13 230 and a vehicle which belongs to one of the suspects.

The duo are expected to appear in Modimolle Magistrate’s Court soon.
