V-Dub Crew help Westenburg residents in need

While delivering the food, the crew made sure that they adhered to the rule of wearing protective masks and gloves to make sure that they as well as the residents stay safe.

POLOKWANE – Non-perishable food parcels arrived at the doors of some Westenburg residents thanks to the Westenburg V-Dub Crew.

The suprise visits were made last Wednesday and the crew went from door-to-door to help.

“We as a crew felt that some of the underprivileged homes in Westenburg needed us more during lockdown, and we felt the need to assist them in every way we possibly could. We decided to donate food and each one of us in the crew contributed towards this initiative. Some members went to go buy packs of non-perishable foods, we packed them and made sure that each pack consisted of enough food to last a family for a few months, ” said Westenburg V-Dub President, Conroe Ross.

Ross added that the packages were delivered to 100 homes.

“Although it was a bit of a rainy day, we made sure the families received the food packages regardless,” he added.

While delivering the food, the crew made sure that they adhered to the rule of wearing protective masks and gloves to make sure that they as well as the residents stay safe.

“We are proud to have done this initiative because these families need us while other people are able to go and buy what they need. Others don’t have the money to buy those essentials they need, so we will help where it’s needed as much as we can,” he said.
