What’s the first thing you would do when lockdown is over?

Review spoke to residents to find out what the first thing is that they would do once they are allowed out of their houses for something other than necessities.

POLOKWANE – Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the country has been placed under a lockdown to help curb the spread of the virus.

The lockdown, which started on 27 March is expected to end on 16 April and people cannot wait to be able to go about as usual.

Review spoke to residents to find out what the first thing is that they would do once they are allowed out of their houses for something other than necessities.

Khetiwe Masemola

Khetiwe Masemola – “The first thing I want to do when the lockdown is over, is to get takeaways. I am undecided on what that first meal will be but I am literally living for that day. It’s what keeps me going.”

Nkhensani Chauke

Nkhensani Chauke – “The first thing I am going to do when the lockdown is over, is walk around my neighbourhood for no good reason. I just want to familiarise myself with all the things that I had missed terribly.”

Success Mabunda

Success Mabunda – “The first thing I want to do when I am finally able to leave the house, is to go for a proper pampering. I want to do my hair, do my nails and just give myself life. One takes such luxuries for granted.”

Nyiko Maswanganyi

Nyiko Maswanganyi – “When the lockdown ends, I want to have a proper catch-up session with friends over drinks. Nothing fancy but it will really mean a lot to see my guys all together at the same time.”

Pearl Ramotsedisi

Pearl Ramotshedisi- “I realised today that I got excited about going grocery shopping.  Getting a taste of that just made me want to have more and now I long for the days where I can go to the mall and find it full and move from shop to shop just because I can.”
