Local churches to live stream their services

A number of churches have opted to live stream their services on social media platforms so that the lockdown doesn't stifle their members' spiritual development.

POLOKWANE – In light of the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus, Churches have had to become innovative to protect their congregation. A number of churches have opted to live stream their services on social media platforms so that the lockdown doesn’t stifle their members’ spiritual development. There are a number of churches in Polokwane that have also opted to take their services online.

Apostle David and Pastor Louisa Mulutsi, senior pastors at God’s Tabernacle.

God’s Tabernacle Christian Family Church, Seshego hosts their Sunday services live, both on Facebook and YouTube. The first service is at 09:00 and the evening service starts at 17:30. Visit God’s Tabernacle CFC on Facebook for information.

Alive Church has cancelled its Sunday services but people are invited to worship when they visit the church’s Facebook and Instagram. Two services will be held at 08:30 and the next at 10:00. Full Gospel Church Bet Shalom will be broadcasting their Sunday services live during the 21-day lockdown period. BONUS spoke to Pastor Liezelle Calitz who confirmed that the church would go live on Sundays on the church’s Facebook page; Bet-Shalom Full Gospel Church at 09:00. This is an initiate by the church to still give congregants a church service under the Covid-19 circumstances.

Pastor Clement Koma from Potters’ House says they will try to bring live services to their congregants.

Potters’ House Church in Polokwane says it would also like to offer the church a live streaming service but the logistics around it have not been resolved. Pastor Clement Koma added that they will do their best but being confined to his house might lead to the service not taking place. “It will be difficult getting the camera crew that has to shoot the service because of the lockdown.”
