POLOKWANE – Even though the country will be in lock down, people will still get ill – not necessarily with COVID-19 but a stomach bug, infection or another matter that will urge them to seek medical help.

Doctors and nurses are part of essential services and most of the doctors’ practices in the city that Review contacted, will be open during the lockdown time. This means if you do need to go to your local doctor, you can still make an appointment and then visit them.

Remember it is better to stay at home and treat a minor, easily treatable at home type of illness rather than going to the doctor. By doing this, you will limit the chances of getting the virus or spreading the virus to other people.

Stock up on essential medication such as painkillers, anti-inflammatory painkillers, fever medication, anti-acids, antibiotic ointment, stomach cramp medication, antihistamines, decongestants, cough suppressants and flu relief medicine.
